It appears that Angelina Jolie has decided to take a little bit of time off this year from adopting African babies and having wild monkey sex with Brad Pitt to make a few movies. The first of which is Robert Zemeckis’ Beowulf, which drops on November 15. The second doesn’t hit theaters until March 28, 2008, but now that we’ve seen the first trailer, it looks to be worth the wait. The film is Wanted, a fantasy actioner that is based on a graphic novel by Mark Millar and J.G. Jones. The film centers on Wesley (played by James McAvoy), a normal dude who finds out that his father was part of a fraternal order of assassins. Wesley is recruiting be the aptly named Fox (Jolie) to come and join the fraternity. Que the initiative spankings…
After seeing this trailer on the big screen in front of this weekend’s uber-release American Gangster, I will say that I am interested. Jolie looks smoking hot, Morgan Freeman shoots a curve-ball bullet out of a gun and James McAvoy has never and will never again look as badass as he does in this trailer. In my book, this is a win-win for fans of Mrs. Pitt and over-the-top shoot ‘em up action flicks alike. If you don’t fall into one of those categories, then I can’t help you. Otherwise, check out the trailer below.
The trailer can also be seen in glorious High Definition over at Yahoo Movies.
