Must See Trailer: MIT Students Play for ’21′
Movie News By Neil Miller on November 16, 2007 | Be the First To CommentThere is something about Las Vegas heist movies that always gets me. I don’t want to like them — to the extent that I almost avoided Ocean’s 12 altogether. But for some reason I just can’t get enough. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have been to Vegas — lost heavily — and gone back for more. It’s addictive, its depraved and I love to see someone beat the system. In the upcoming film 21, a group of MIT students take the concept of card counting to a whole new level. It is a film that looks pretty sharp, and with Across the Universe‘s Jim Sturgess and Kevin Spacey on board it looks very enticing. Also of note, it is based on a true story and a book called “Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions” by Ben Mezrich. The first trailer was released by Yahoo Movies today. Take a look below.
The high definition version of the trailer can also be seen over at Yahoo. The film is being directed by Robert Luketic (Legally Blonde, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton). It also stars the very sexy Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns), the goofy Aaron Yoo (Disturbia) and Laurence Fishbourne. It is set for release on March 28, 2008.
