MTV Shows off a Promo for the ‘Iron Man’ Trailer
Movie News By Neil Miller on September 10, 2007 | Be the First To CommentWhat sort of twisted world of movie marketing do we live in where we must be subjected to a promo reel that is advertising the release of a teaser trailer? That is like making a commercial to introduce a series of commercials that will ultimately promote a new TV show. That’s like making a reality show about two washed up child stars from the 1980′s and their depressing post-stardom lives. Oh wait, they already did that? Fair enough. And wait, the promo is for tomorrow’s trailer debut for Iron Man? Ok, I take it back. I am interested.
MTV is showing off a little bit of promo footage (all of which was seen by those who attended this year’s Comic Con in San Diego) for tomorrow’s debut of the first trailer for Iron Man. The film, directed by Jon “So Money” Favreau, stars Robert “I’ve Got Advice for Lindsay Lohan” Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. It is, without a doubt, going to be one of the biggest films of the summer of 2008 when it releases on May 2. Mark my words, this flick is going to kick serious ass. Or in other words, Iron Man will “own your soul”, or whatever that means.
Take a look at the promo real below, courtesy of our friends at TheMovieBox.net:
The Official Iron Man trailer will debut tomorrow on MTV and Tuesday on Apple.com/trailers. See our report here for more details.
On the Side: The footage from Comic Con seems to still be lingering around the web. Check it out here before it gets taken down.
