We’ve almost gone an entire week without me giving up on this feature! Woo hoo!
Just a precursor to the movie news on this Saturday – Go Buckeyes! And now, here is your news:
Jack Palance passes, Harry Knowles salutes. (via AICN)
Best known by me as one of the coolest villains from Tim Burton’s Batman, Jack Palance has long been a great actor, beloved for his dry and snide delivery. He will be missed.
The ‘Spiderman 3′ trailer is online. (via Blog Critics)
Last night the Spiderman 3 trailer hit first on television, then as expected – hit the internet shortly after. Our own Chris Beaumont has posted a little blurb over at Blog Critics covering the trailer. It is worth a look…
‘The Simpsons Movie’ Trailer drops on Sunday. (via Cinematical)
Following in the footsteps of Spiderman 3, the makers of The Simpsons movie are unleashing the first full-length trailer on Sunday night during the regularly scheduled Simpsons episode on Fox. Mmmmm… Trailers.
Drunken frat boys sue ‘Borat’ makers. (via USA Today)
Two of the three racist drunkards that were exposed as idiots in Borat are now suing the filmmakers. They are saying that the filmmakers got them drunk, then had them sign a waiver, then exploited them. So how is this different than anything else that will happen to them in college?
Keira is done playing with ‘Pirates’ (via ComingSoon.net)
Keira Knightley has said, from the set of her new film Atonement, that the third Pirates of the Caribbean film, At Worlds End will be her last go-round as the sexy and trouble-prone Elizabeth Swan. This is the second similar rumor, following Orlando Bloom’s rumored exit. Oh what will they do with only Johnny Depp? Personally, I’m sure they will be fine.
That is the news for this Saturday morning. The Morning Announcements will be off on Sunday, but will be back Monday morning with plenty of movie related sleaze… Hopefully Tom makes an appearance this weekend!
