More Detailed Pre-Strike List Emerges Online

About a month ago we reported on a very robust list of films that were deemed as high priority projects for the studios in Hollywood. These were the films that they wanted to get rushed to post-production prior to the impending mass strike in the Summer of 2008. Of course, we were all thinking the same thing were we not? Gosh, that is a HUGE list of movies. And considering that there are only so many directors, actors and crew that are starving for work in and around Hollywood, there was no way that all of those movies were going to get made.
So thankfully our friends at Coming Soon got their hands on a more detailed list that includes start dates. Some of the highlights from the list include Magneto, which is set to begin on January 1. G.I. Joe is also on the list, targeting a February 8 start date. Disney has a Hanna Montana movie on the docket as well as High School Musical 3, both of which should get Fat Guy Kevin Carr all excited.
So what is missing? Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, despite reports from inside New Line Studios, is till absent. But hey, while we may not see a good start time on The Hobbit, we will get Land of the Lost staring Will Ferrell starting at the end of February. I’ll take that, for now.
