Rourke has always been – on his day – an astonishing actor. Now with 15 years of wilderness under his belt he has picked up an added gravitas that should bring us – as proved in The Wrestler – some huge performances. I hope he spreads his canvas as wide as possible. This collaboration with Hill should be fantastic.

This is a VERY intriguing premise I think. Let's be honest, Rourke is not bound to be playing pretty boys with the grill of an ex-boxer / plastic surgery, any more. So these are the sorts of daring and challenging roles a guy in his 50's is going to thrive in, I think.
