Earlier today, Walt Disney Pictures confirmed via Twitter today that the rumors are true, Michael Sheen (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) will have a role in Tron Legacy. Previous insider reports have said that Sheen will play the villain in the film who, as Sheen himself tweeted at one point, is “in fact not a person at all.”
In Tron Legacy, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech savvy 27-year old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), investigates the disappearance of his father, pulling himself deep into the same world of aggressive computer programs and gladiator-like games only to find that his father has been living inside the machine for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s friend (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
