Michael Moore Takes on Wall Street, Needs Help
Movie News By Robert Levin on February 12, 2009 | (6) Comments
With the failing economy making headlines daily, one had to expect Michael Moore would eventually speak up. Word comes, via Anne Thompson’s blog, that he’s hard at work on a film about the crisis and wants you, disgruntled financial industry employees, to help him out. Here’s an excerpt from a letter he posted at his website:
I am in the middle of shooting my next movie and I am looking for a few brave people who work on Wall Street or in the financial industry to come forward and share with me what they know. Based on those who have already contacted me, I believe there are a number of you who know “the real deal” about the abuses that have been happening. You have information that the American people need to hear. I am humbly asking you for a moment of courage, to be a hero and help me expose the biggest swindle in American history.”
I’m not the biggest Moore fan, but if there’s any topic that demands one of his characteristic polemics this is it. Also, it’s comforting to note that Moore will still be tapping into his deep reservoir of outrage even though favored whipping boy George W. Bush is back on 24/7 shrub clearing duty in Crawford.
