Megatron Gets Tanked, Hops in Bed with Transformers Sequel
Movie News By Adam Sweeney on August 5, 2008 | (16) Comments
Will Michael Bay transform Megatron into the world’s coolest beer keg? Probably not, but he is bringing him back in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as a tank, proving alcohol even makes Decepticons look better.
The sequel to the blockbuster original focuses on a new villain, the Fallen, who the Autobots have to face off against. But if you thought that Megatron wasn’t going to get his time on-screen then I would suggest you lay off the Pineapple Express. This time Megatron will be ditching his alien jet threads (which pissed me off due to the similarity to Starscream’s look) for the ability to transform into a tank.
Could we see an alliance between Optimus and Megatron to take down the Fallen? Word from CHUD is that a previous draft of the script had the Autobots bringing Megatron back to life, so it looks like that’s how things will go down.
I still miss seeing Megatron as a gun, but he could never fire a shot off by himself, always needing another robot’s assistance. And there is your setup for a Transformers sex joke. Have at it.
Do you like the idea of Megatron as a tank instead of a jet, or would you rather have the old-school Megatron from the cartoons and comics?
