Alright people, when I first reported about the upcoming flick Meet the Spartans (originally called Hunting and Fishing), the parody of 300 being written and directed by Jason Friedberg (the brilliantish mind behind such classics as Epic Movie, Scary Movie and Spy Hard), I was only mildly annoyed. After seeing the trailer, I am now fully enraged. Is there no sense in Hollywood? Check that, the fact that Epic Movie grossed $78 million worldwide leads me to believe that the lack of sense lies somewhere outside of Southern California. All the folks in Hollywood do is continue to churn out simple-minded flicks so that the millions of “Blue Collar TV” fans can come out to their local cineplex. It makes me sick. And if you aren’t sick right along with me at this point, take a peek at the trailer below.
Meet the Spartans stars Kevin Sorbo, Carmen Electra and Diedrich Bader. It will be slivering its way into theaters sometime in 2008.
