The folks at Ain’t It Cool News have been posting a series of awesome reader-submitted snapshots over the course of the last few days from the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, and included within them are first look posters for films such as Shrek Forever After, Spider-Man 4 and a wicked poster for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. But of all the hot posters, the most exciting of the bunch is probably the following image, which shows updated logos for the upcoming Marvel Studios films:

Now, before I talk about this a bit I would like to give proper credit to Pete at /Film, who tweaked the original image a bit in order to make it look better. The man knows Photoshop, what can I say. That said, I couldn’t be more excited about the way Marvel is handling their properties. Two films in and the fledgling studio has already shown itself to be something quite formidable in Hollywood. And now it is clear that they have a roadmap that will delight fans with character cross-over, iconic imagery and — as we’ve seen thus far — unique filmmakers with unique visions for these characters.
The most exciting, aside from Iron Man 2, is Thor. Branagh, Hemsworth, Hiddleston. Only one name we really recognize, but a potentially ballsy and fresh direction. Sign me up, kids.
Speaking of Iron Man 2, AICN also posted the first licensing expo teaser poster for the film, which director Jon Favreau is currently shooting in and around Los Angeles:

Oh, nostalgia. Now if only we could get some more news on The First Avenger: Captain America, we’d be all set with our Marvel movies fix, wouldn’t we?
