Ever since he burst onto the scene as the dopey Napoleon Dynamite in 2004, he seems to be attempting to corner the market on post-adolescent idiocy. So it would only be fitting that he would step out in a new movie that shows range. And by range, I mean that he is playing the exact same character that we saw in School for Scoundrels, only this time he is 29, lives with his mom and participates in some live-action roleplaying. Combine that with the fact that the film was written by Are We Done Yet? scribe Hank Nelken, we’ve got a recipe for absolute nothingness. The trailer however, does score a few laughs, so I guess we’ll wait and see.

Mama’s Boy hits theaters some time in 2008. The first trailer is below.
