After making me sad that I own eyeballs yesterday with the trailer for Legion, I’m slightly uplifted again for a Paul-Bettany-battling-a-lot-of-monsters project. The reason for the tiny improvement in my emotional state is that action star Maggie Q is joining the cast for Priest.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Q is going to be a bad ass vampire killing machine that teams up with Bettany’s priestly character in the fight against the dark villains that roam the wild west.

Maggie Q is awesome. I loved her in Live Free or Die Hard and Mission Impossible III despite neither movie being all that awesome. She brings a very dark, sophisticated look to her ass-kickery, and I have no doubt that she’ll play well against Bettany’s cold-shoulder school of acting. And if you haven’t seen her in Naked Weapon, you owe it to yourself to search it out. Especially if you have no sense of decency. Which, let’s be honest, raise your hand if you do.

Thought so.

I think this will be a great addition to the film. And not just because of my bias toward models-cum-actors with letters for last names.

What do you think?
