‘Mad’ Woman Hears About ‘the Morgans’

Jon Hamm isn’t the only “Mad Men” cast member making a splash in Hollywood and elsewhere outside of the AMC network’s show (including hosting SNL and becoming Tina Fey’s Dude on “30 Rock”). Elizabeth Moss, who portrays Peggy Olson on the award-winning show, has joined up with Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant in what I can only assume is a romantic comedy, entitled Did You Hear About the Morgans? according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film, which stars Parker and Grant as a married couple, involves the two being relocated via the Witness Protection Program, to Wyoming, after witnessing a killing. So Moss will likely be playing a Wyoming-ite…a Wyomian…a Wyomite. This is Moss’ first major feature role since beginning “Mad Men” in 2007, although she’s been in several indies and is appearing in the drama New Orleans, Mon Amour and the forthcoming comedy Buddy Gilbert Comes Alive.
Marc Lawrence is directing the romantic comedy. I say bring it on, we need more Elizabeth Moss in the world of entertainment. She’s fantastic. And while we’re at it, can we please get Christina Hendricks and those amazing curves into a film. If Jon Hamm can be in The Day the Earth Stood Still, why can’t Hendricks star in a film called The Day My Penis Stood Tall?
