Danny Trejo: Machete Trilogy Coming

The Bloody-Disgusting fellows managed to hear a few words from genre fave and overall bad-ass Danny Trejo about the Grindhouse trailer inspired Machete. Word is that the project is still on, though when it will actually begin filming is still unknown. Robert Rodriquez will reportedly sit in the director’s chair for this one - there was some word on maybe him just producing. Fear not, as Machete himself says RR will direct!

Trejo also said that Dimension wants to turn the film into a trilogy, which would be awesome. Based on the trailer, we can see that this franchise would rock. Who knows where this is heading though? Machete rumors pop up fairly constantly, from hints at a theatrical release to word of a straight to DVD romp. Which way will it go? No idea.

All I do know is that the trailer looks sweet, with lots of stabbings, shootings, flying motorcycles, and most importantly female breasts! If you’re not excited for a full length Machete you’re no friend of mine.
