The character of Les Grossman may be the funniest thing that actor and known couch-jumper Tom Cruise has ever done. His several minutes of screen time in Tropic Thunder were some of the most ridiculous moments seen on film in years. And I’m not over-exaggerating. Now, MTV has done the smart thing and convinced Cruise to bring back the character to help promote the upcoming MTV Movie Awards. And as you can see in the clip below — which features Grossman on the set of Tom Cruise’s first film, Risky Business — it’s going to bring the laughs. Well played, network that used to play music videos. Well played.

The MTV Movie Awards air Sunday, June 6.
