Len Wiseman to Protect the President’s ‘Motorcade’

The folks at Variety are reporting today that Live Free or Die Hard and Underworld director Len Wiseman is currently in talks with Dreamworks to direct Motorcade. The Billy Ray-scripted film follows the story of a terrorist attack on the president’s motorcade as it travels through Los Angeles.
While there aren’t any other details to report about this particular project as it is still in the negotiation stage, I will say that I have long been a fan of Len Wiseman’s work. He is a long time prop master whose best work was in the creature-driven Underworld films. But with Live Free and Die Hard he proved himself as a solid action director. I can see a film like Motorcade being along the same lines, but without seeing a script it is hard to say. We will keep an eye on the situation, as always. Also, it is worth mentioning — though completely unrelated — that Wiseman has fathered the children of Kate Beckinsale. Insert random comment about Kate Beckinsale’s ass here.
