Doug Jones Joins the Cast of LegionIf you’ve been paying attention to the trades, and I’ll forgive you if you haven’t, you’ve noticed that the Screen Gem’s flick Legion recently announced a full deck of cards when it comes to the cast (detailed below). Well, we can give you one more name that they have officially given you yet - character actor and green screen dynamo extraordinaire Doug Jones. While you may not recognize the face, surely you’ve seen the characters. He’s been a part of both Hellboy films, Fantastic Four 2, and Pan’s Labyrinth.

No word yet on what exactly he’ll be doing in the film, but apparently Jones’ is either a lock, or very close to a lock, for the film Legion. This flick about angels protecting Earth from the wrath of God also stars: Dennis Quaid, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Tenney, Charles S. Dutton , Lucas Black, Kate Walsh, Adrianne Palicki, Kevin Durand, Willa Holland and Paul Bettany.

Now that is a mouthful! Stay tuned for more Legion news.

Helen Chavez says:

Doug’s role is quite an interesting one in this and I look forward very much to seeing the film. Great stuff!

However, Doug is not a ‘green-screen dynamo’ - that implies motion capture, which is something Doug has not done in a feature film to date. He is, however, an extraordianry actor, especially under extreme prosthetics, and isn’t known as the Lon Chaney of the 21st Century for nothing.
