Kristin Kruek as Chun-Li in upcoming Street Fighter movie

When the casting of Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li in the upcoming flick Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li hit the web, many people complained. While Kreuk is hot, she’s been criticized as being miscast as the legedary game warrior.

Capcom of Japan, via Kotaku.com, has given fans (and dissenters) a chance to judge her merit with an early image of the Smallville actress in her Chun-Li origins. She’s smudged up in the picture and not sporting her traditional game gear, but we can see one thing… she looks totally hot.

Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li

After dealing with proto-Superman in Smallville, Kreuk is looking to break into major motion pictures. With a starring role like this, she might have a chance. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope that she trades in her frumpy rags in the picture for some tight-fitting spandex.

Sound off: Will Kreuk make a worthy Chun-Li?
