As you said, Landis' last 'horror' film was Innocent Blood which aside from a frequently nude Anne Parillaud was a piece of shit. And I like Pegg, even brushed legs with him a few times two Comic-Con's ago, but he alone can't save a bad movie (see How To Win Friends and Alienate People). I also won't hold my breath for a "dark, sinister true crime script"... not with Landis at the helm anyway. This has potential to be sure, but I don't see a reason to get excited yet. As you said, Landis' last 'horror' film was Innocent Blood which aside from a frequently nude Anne Parillaud was a piece of shit.
