The Runaways Dakota Fanning

A new music video for the upcoming film The Runaways has been released today, continuing the promotion of this aggressively sexy movie about children (teenagers) singing aggressively sexual songs to throngs of adults. It’s a true story, so it’s okay. In fact, that was one of the overwhelming thoughts that I took away from screening this movie at Sundance. Sure, it’s a movie that challenges you not to be sexually charged by a group of young girls. But wasn’t that also the point of the rock group upon which it’s based.

Anyway, there’s a new music video that mixed footage from the film with the track “Cherry Bomb,” as recorded by Dakota Fanning. It’s a fast-moving video, so keep a close eye. But not too close, friends, Chris Hansen is always watching.

The Runaways is in theaters April 9, 2010.

I feel dirty for watching that.

I honestly can't decide if I'm more excited by the music or the outfits? Then again, I guess thats the whole point?

Kim Fowley was the master of SEX, drugs and rock n roll in that order. It only makes sense this movie should be as well.

  3. Aleric says:

I hope this movie captures the spirit of the time and the band. I grew up then and fondly remember the Runaways.
