If you weren’t sure what to make of the oft-title shifting movie Knight and Day, a comedy (I think) about a sociopathic super spy played by Tom Cruise and some random woman that he’s picked up along his path of secret agent violence, played by Cameron Diaz, you’re really in for a treat with this first trailer. Upon viewing said trailer, I’m still not sure what to make of this whole thing. Cruise is acting a fool, Diaz is back to being her confused, physically comedic self (thank the stars) and this movie is being directed by James Mangold. The same James Mangold who directed 3:10 to Yuma and Walk the Line?

Yet, while confusion as to what or why this movie is seems to be the sentiment of the day, the new trailer (courtesy of E!) does have a few fun moments. “No one follows us, or I kill myself, then her.” Pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the movie, I would suppose. Watch the trailer for yourself below.

Knight and Day also stars Maggie Grace, Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Dano and Viola Davis. It is in theaters July 2, 2010.

  • Knight & Day Trailer is best to watch while i am waiting for the movie to come.
  • Mike S
Mission Impossible+Top Gun.... what more can I can say (although I might be okay without another gay volleyball scene)
  • Looks pretty awful. Cruise looks like he could be fun, but Diaz is so bad and has been for a decade.
  • Actually the quote is: "No one follows us, or I kill myself, then her."
