God, yes. There is so much wrong with all of this, but that's the way I like it. Can't wait to see this one. So far, looks like a pretty spirited adaptation of the comic. Good stuff.

kids will probably end up watching this anyway because soon as this kick ass movie comes out on DVD older brother or sister or mom or dad will go out and buy it and show it in the privacy of their own home when i was a kid i watched R rated movies with my parents the fact that no-one takes any notice of ratings on DVD's anyway movies are generally given the R rating (18 in the UK) is because of its violent content well the violence in movies isn't real but the violence in the real world is real and children are intelligent enough to know the difference in a movie IE violence not being real and actual real violence in the real world the movie could have done with a better sound track the theme from the banana splits oh please there are more violent films than kick ass i saw myself when i was a kid i let my kids watch R rated i don't mean porn films i mean R rated horror because like i said kids today are very intelligent and can separate fantasy from real life also there is this Hit Girl character who is what 11 year old i heard that this film nearly didn't get picked up because they were told to use an older actress as hit girl most horror and action movies get a 15 rating in Britain nowadays only the odd one or two take Orphan for example it says contains strong sex strong language and strong bloody violence and its been given a 15 rating wow

After the first trailer, I had no desire to see this. But when the little girl said “I’m just fuckin’ with you, daddy…” then ran off all the details about the butterfly knife? It sold me. Granted yeah, I agree with Robert about the whole “cunts” thing seeming like it was trying too hard, the Banana Splits song playing during scenes of carnage once again got me interested.

Not sure if I’ll see it in the theater, but it’s definitely a rental.
