Kevin Smith Updates on Zack and Miri, Comic Con and More

It has been a while since we’ve received any sort of updates on the web from our dear friend Kevin Smith, a fact that he quickly points out in blog entry posted to his site Silent Bob Speaks this evening. Smith was also quick to give up some cool details on Zack and Miri Make a Porno, that flick he’s been working on. Here is the rundown:
- The first official test screening for the film will happen on Tuesday night somewhere in the midwest.
- The current runtime of the film is 1:45, which ain’t too shabby for a comedy.
- As rumored before, he is going to be launching the first teaser trailer for Zack and Miri on the web at QuickStopEntertainment.com sometime early next week. We are speculating that it will be Monday.
He also mentioned Comic Con in San Diego. As always, Smith will have a major presence, especially considering the fact that Zack and Miri will hit theaters in October, less than 90 days after the Con. Last year he had a full panel in the Hall H (the big room) and all he did was direct the “Reaper” pilot — which was awesome, as you now know.
Regarding this year’s Con, Smith said, “More details when I know ‘em (but figure a Friday night panel in the big room).”
Just another reason to be excited about our huge trip to San Diego later this summer, so stay tuned. Smith also left readers with a new image from the movie that features View Askew vet Jeff Anderson and incoming headliner Seth Rogen in full hockey gear for the “Monroeville Zombies” — which is funny in its own right. Check it out above if you haven’t already.
