Kevin Smith to Direct Heroes: Origins
Movie News By Neil Miller on July 31, 2007 | Be the First To Comment
Let’s start with this fact; yes, I know that this is a movie website. But in the spirit of fanboys around the world, I feel that it is perfectly OK to talk about Heroes, as it is quite possibly one of the few TV shows out there that plays out more like a movie than a standard primetime drama. The great saga TV shows (24, Lost and Heroes to name a few) can be looked at as great flicks that got cut up and somehow ended up on TV.
With that said, here is some pretty awesome news for both Heroes fans and movie fanboys alike. The always entertaining Kevin Smith, otherwise known as “that Clerks guy”, was revealed as one writer/director who has been tapped by series creator Tim Kring to direct at least one part of a spin-off series called Heroes: Origins. I will let Mr. Kring and Mr. Smith explain the rest in the video below, taken from the Heroes panel this weekend at Comic-Con.
