katehudson01.jpgMargaret Keane’s paintings are famous world-wide, except, probably, to anyone who reads this site. That will change if Kate Hudson has anything to do with it.

Hudson’s signed on to play Keane in Big Eyes, a biopic penned by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The two, who wrote 1408, Ed Wood, and and Man on the Moon, are also set to direct.

The film will focus on the artist plowing through personal issues during the onset of the feminist movement. Kate Hudson burning her bra should be enough to draw the rejects to the mega-multi-plex. Although, this film might stay strictly art house.

Variety has all the technicals if you’re into that sort of thing.
