Justin Timberlake once brought sexy back. Now he’s bringing the white boy curly fro back, as well. In several images from the set of the upcoming David Fincher directed film The Social Network, in which Timberlake plays Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster and eventually founding president at Facebook, we see J.T. going back to his N*Sync hair style… and rocking an NPR shirt.

The film will look at the story behind the rise of Facebook and its effect on the men behind it. Written by Aaron Sorkin based on the novel The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich, he film follows the story of Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg), Sean Parker (Timberlake) and Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield) as they cope with the boom experienced by Facebook in its early days.

I am sticking to my guns on this one, admitting that I can’t wait to see what Fincher does with this story. Kevin Spacey, who is one of the film’s producers, has said that it is probably going to be a lot funnier than people think. Which is interesting, as you wouldn’t normally think “funny” in conjunction with the works of David Fincher. Fascinating, to say the least. As for Timberlake, he certainly has the look of Sean Parker. Though, I would almost argue that Sean Parker’s look was influenced by an late-90s pop sensation with similarly curly hair. Oh wait, that was Justin Timberlake. How quaint.

The first images are below, courtesy of Just Jared and The Daily Mail. More to come, I’m sure.

:x Are you one of those people who didn't realize Fight Club was a black comedy?

No, no… Fight Club I get (and love). But overall, Fincher isn't effing Woody Allen.

  • Cole_Abaius

Fincher isn't funny? You didn't get Se7en at all, did you Neil?

I have a feeling it will be a new Fincher. A less anal Fincher. A looser, more handheld Fincher. I don't care what kinda Fincher it is, I'm there opening night.
