Justice League: Christian Bale’s Not Diggin’ It
Movie News By Joshua Martin on August 21, 2007 | (16) Comments
This news week has been all a-twitter with the possibility of a JLA movie getting fast tracked through the pipeline, making sure it gets done as quickly as possible, with the possibility of making a mega movie.
First, today news broke that Brandon Routh may stay Superman, but wouldn’t agree to JLA at the moment. Now on the denial bandwagon is Christian Bale. In talking to the boys and girls at IESB, he came out with a very flat and meaningful quote. After saying not only he wouldn’t do JLA, but he’s not even been approached about it.
Bale told IESB, “It’d be better if it doesn’t tread on the toes of what we’re doing, though I feel that it would be better if it comes out after Batman 3.â€
There you go. Not only has he not been approached, but he won’t do it, and wouldn’t consider it. He also subtly hints that after this trilogy, he may be out. Leaving us with the impression, he’d not want to waste his three movies without the director and vision.
So you’d have two concurrent superhero franchises, and a movie that would be pertaining to those movies with different actors as them. Does that sound like the worst idea ever? It does to me.
Lets hope that JLA either falls through, or they have the balls to cross over good movies. I’d not mind Superman Vs Batman IN a movie. Guest appearance of Flash in the Superman movie… coming in and out enough they could make a separate movie. I just think that would be the best. JLA, seems bound for failure.
And if you’re looking for more failure, stay tuned to our site pertaining to JLA.
