Those of you who don’t think that you have enough Joseph Gordon-Levitt in your life, just be patient. Over the course of the next year Gordon-Levitt will appear in a few potentially high profile projects, including the Sundance smash 500 Days of Summer and the late-summer actioner G.I. Joe. And it looks as if he is also looking to get his name in the credits of a high profile project for 2010 as well, as THR is reporting that he’s joined the cast of Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming sci-fi film Inception.

According to the report, Gordon-Levitt will fill the role vacated by James Franco, who was forced to drop out over scheduling issues. Gordon-Levitt will play an associate of the CEO-type main character played by Leonardo DiCaprio. The sci-fi film is said to be set within “the architecture of the mind,” but beyond that we don’t know much. We do know however, that Christopher Nolan is a solid director and that he’s assembled a solid cast. Along with Gordon-Levitt and DiCaprio, the film will also star Marion Cotiallard, Ellen Page and Cillian Murphy.

Inception is currently set for release some time in 2010. It will begin shooting this summer.
