Jemaine Clement Gets Villainous for ‘Men in Black 3′
Movie News By Neil Miller on May 19, 2010 | (2) Comments
If there’s one thing the Men in Black franchise has done, it has certainly convinced a few legit actors to play villains. Vincent D’Onofrio was up to the task as Edgar the crazy roach in the first film, and Lara Flynn Boyle was pretty nasty in part deux. With that in mind, the fact that Flight of the Conchords star Jemaine Clement is in talks to play the villain in Men in Black III shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
The film — which will return both Will Smith and director Barry Sonnenfeld — will take place in 1969, where a young Agent K (elder version played by Tommy Lee Jones, with his younger years being played by Josh Brolin) is just getting acquainted with the agency. Heat Vision is reporting that “Clement is playing a villain named Boris, who is described as being charmy and creepy at the same time.” The rest is being kept under wraps for the time being, as the script is still in various stages of spit-shine application.
The film is scheduled to shoot later this year. Clement will be seen next in Dinner for Schmucks, starring Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd.
