Japanese Street Fighter Trailer Speaks The Universal Language of Ass-Kicking

The first trailer for the upcoming actioner Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li might not speaka any English, but it certainly speaks to a part of me that loves fun kung fuey action. It also speaks to the part of me that weeps every time I think about how painful the last attempt at a Street Fighter movie was. As well, it speaks to that part of me that has a big thing for Kristin Kreuk. So Japanese or not, this trailer and I are communicating loud and clear. It is telling me that this film might actually turn out to be good. I am resisting though, as it is still too early to tell. Watch the trailer for yourself below.
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li hits theaters on February 27, 2009. It was directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak and stars Kristin Kreuk, Michael Clarke Duncan, Neal McDonough, Taboo, Chris Klein, Moon Bloodgood, Edmund Chen, Cheng Pei Pei, Josie Ho and Robin Shou.
