Jack Black is all over the place lately. Not in theaters, perse. At least, not at the moment. But while he hasn’t been in a lot of films lately, he does have 9 (yes, 9) films in some sort of development. According to Variety, we can add another project to Black’s long list.
Black will star in THE LOST ADVENTURES OF STONE PERLMUTTER JR., a faux documentary made from recently discovered footage from 1979. Black will star as Perlmutter, a self-styled Indiana Jones-esque explorer who sets out to find such relics as Yeti, El Dorado and the lost tomb of Jesus Christ.
The project is written by Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory. It has been acquired by Universal and it will be produced by Black and partner Ben Cooley through their Electric Dynamite Prods. label.
Before all this, Black will star in THE YEAR ONE, a comedy directed by Harold Ramis and produced by Judd Apatow — now there is a combination we’ve been waiting for.
