post-islafisher.jpgThere was actually a little bit of news here, but as I began to write the title of this article I forgot what it was. Of course, it may have something to do with the fact that writing anything about Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers, The Lookout) gives me an excuse to peruse the interwebs for gratuitously sexy pictures of her. I know that she’s Borat’s girlfriend and that she is going to pop out his harry-assed offspring, but she is still damn fine.

The news here is that The Hollywood Reporter is confirming a story that we ran (via JoBlo) a few weeks back. The story foretold of Isla’s new movie, Confessions of a Shopaholic, which is based on a book by Sophie Kinsella. It tells the story of a shopaholic, up to her ears in debt, who ends up becoming a financial advice columnist. It will be endlessly compared with the very successful The Devil Wears Prada and the very unsuccessful The Nanny Diaries, but I am holding out hope based on Ms. Fisher’s sizzling aura of hotness.

The film will be directed by PJ Hogan (My Best Friend’s Wedding) and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (yes, that Jerry Bruckheimer). The production is scheduled to start in January.

And just in case you forgot what this article was really about…
