Jessica Simpson as CJ?It was recently announced that Jessica Simpson and her assets will be starring in the most eagerly anticipated remake ever Baywatch: The Movie. Simpson is rumored to be playing the character of C.J., who on the television show was played by Pamela Anderson.

Jessica Simpson? Can you say, “The World’s 1st Fully Slow-Motion Feature Film”?

Just to show that this film might not be just an excuse for Simpson to show off the twins and act stupid, this film also has another crazy rumor surrounding it such as a very big name Director/Writer/Producer attached to the project. Rumors are swirling that Steven Spielberg is involved in this project in some way.

The only reason that I can even humor the gossip is because I’d like to see Spielberg go retro and make a Jaws-esque thriller out of Baywatch. The announcement of this movie was followed by the grave news that David Hasselhoff will not be filling the role of Mitch because he will be filming another highly anticipated film for 2006 Knight Rider.

WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO PLAY MITCH?

I want to know who you think should play Mitch. The actor definitely has to have body hair/chest hair. Will Ferrell anybody? Will Ferrell might not be able to though because of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Blades of Glory, but maybe a little Steve Carell? Pierce Brosnan could go from James Bond to Mitch Buchannon. What do you think?

We leave the speculation to you…
