Is Justice League Really Cancelled?

Is the Justice League Dead?

Last time…on The Continuing Saga of The Justice League Movie Updates

Our heroes Green Lantern, The Flash, and Geeky-Glasses-Wearing-Director-Man (played this week by George Miller) were at the bottom of a bottomless pit, surrounded by three hundred machine gun-wielding maniacs and without the precious Australian tax breaks they needed to climb out and save the day…

This time…on The Continuing Saga of The Justice League Movie Updates

They’re all dead.

According to CHUD, a quick conversation with Joel Silver revealed that Justice League: Mortal had been “tabled”. Of course, that’s a euphemism for “dead” or “mostly dead” or “will be released in 2011 with a new name”. My question is – does Joel Silver really have the inside scoop on the film? I suppose I’m a little skeptical about the movie really being tabled.

We here at FSR have been pretty brutal about the film since the first cast list appeared, but I hope that the internet isn’t the reason for it’s tabling. More likely is the development troubles they’ve had so far. There’s only so much a production team can take before deciding to take a break and come back.

Which may be a great thing.

With some fresh perspective, some different names on the call sheet, and a little more work, this movie could be an exciting project. A really exciting one.

For more news on movies that no longer exist, remember to check back with FSR soon.

  • I certainly hope that it is not only on the table, but that it is on the chopping block as well. This production has been doomed since the beginning. If by "doomed", I am referring to its impending suckage.

I am a big fan of all comic book heros. I would truly enjoy see this movie come to life. I'm sure that the city of Tampa and the whole Bay Area would love to have you shoot the movie here. That way I could try out for a roll in the movie.
    Thanks,
  • Neil, you're always so negative.

I'd rather see this thing survive, to be honest. Why? Because it would be awesome to see Batman and Superman (egos colliding) leading a team of super heroes with pretty rad powers against 4 or 5 super villains.

Who wouldn't if it was done well?
