Is James Bond’s Quantum of Solace Cursed?
In Production By Kevin Kelly on April 25, 2008 | (8) Comments
The past week hasn’t been a good one for drivers on the set of the new James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace. Three different drivers have been injured in different accidents, including one by a guy who was just delivering an Aston Martin DBS to the set. He lost control of the vehicle and drove into a lake… and he was an employee of Aston Marton. Whoops.
All kidding aside, we hope they start paying attention to safety on set, because the most recent accident landed a stuntman in a hospital in serious condition when the Alfa Romeo he was driving collided with another vehicle. Check out a video piece about the accident here. They’ve suspended filming for several days while they investigate exactly what happened.
This eerily mirrors the 2006 fire at Pinewood Studios, where Casino Royale had been filmed. Although they had completed filming, some of the sets were destroyed during the fire. Is there a James Bond curse? After three accidents, the press is saying there is. We just hope they’ll be a bit more careful,
