There is a little film out there working its way to the big screen that I hadn’t heard of until just today, and thanks to Variety, I was able to track down the trailer. My reaction was this: Holy shit this looks awesome! The movie is Iron Sky and it’s the story of what happens when a group of Nazis, who set up a moon base in 1945, decide in 2018 that it’s time to come back to Earth – and dominate it.

Hot young actress Julia Dietze has been tapped to play a moon Nazi who is sent as an advanced scout to the Earth to determine if the time for invasion is now. I’ll admit to not being familiar with her German work, but I can assure you she is sufficiently hot.

If you’re not totally stoked, let me offer up three bits of evidence as to why this is going to be awesome.

  1. Julia Dietze is playing a hot space Nazi on the moon.
  2. “Julia is a perfect opposite to the testosterone-filled Nazis and massive space battles the film’s visual imagery consists mainly of,” said “Iron Sky” helmer Timo Vuorensola.
  3. Watch this trailer.

I rest my case.

What do you think? Does this movie look awesome or what?

    very....interesting.

I saw this trailer a few months ago. I always thought it was an uber low budget net film a kin to the likes of Dr. Horrible....I guess I may be wrong. Hey we always need a good NAzis from outer space take over the world film.
  • I think movies like this you either love the look or your hate it. Like The Mutant Chronicles and to a lesser extent Sin City and The Spirit. It definitely has a campy, cheap, cheesy look, but to me it looks awesome, like a little bit of Mars Attacks! is in there.
  • Heard about this a while ago. Still looks great. Should make for some great camp value if nothing else.
  • I thought this was just going to be a short when I first saw this project last year...this is amazing news hopefully a major studio picks it up and gives it the budget it deserves...

I don't know about you Rob but I'm still waiting on Zombie's Werewolf Women of The SS....which he said he's working on bringing together to a full length feature
  • If Sheri Moon Zombie appears in it with see-through lab jackets and semi-BDSM gear, I'm in. Nic Cage is purely optional. But yeah, I'd totally check that out - though he's got to get El Superbeasto and Tyrannosaurus Rex into theaters first!

Interesting concept, and an interesting execution...I'd see it. I don't have any problems with hyper-stylized productions...its just one more gimmick to sell movies. One thing, though...while most of the teaser was fairly "serious" (well...as serious as nazis on the moon, at least), that bit with the seagull at the end was a little strange (again...disregarding the fact that its nazis on the moon).
  • El Superbeasto is finished heading to theaters soon...T-Rex isn't even written yet I have no idea why he was boasting like it was ready to shoot....he has more ready with WWOTSS than that project..I'd say after Halloween 2 he'll hopefully write both then the studio will decide
