Really, that whole article comes off as a fanboy whining about how Iron Man is better than all other superheroes, then getting to Batman and realising that, actually, he isn’t. You’ve ignored the critical elements of X-Men, Spiderman 2 and Batman Begins which make them superior to Iron Man, but Iron Man is the flavor of the month, so let’s plug him. You’ve judged each of the films by Iron Man’s standards, not on their own terms, and that’s a rookie mistake. Poor journalism.

Enjoy this list immensely (so did my fiancee who laughed at my intense reading). My favorites are:

1) Constantine (so dark and great detail to directing, plot, imagery)
2) Iron Man (picture perfect acting and plot detail)
3) Batman Begins (great modernization and imagery)
4) Batman (Jack)
5) X Men (this movie made all the current crop viable)

JMoney – Yes, I realize it is very fresh in my mind. Though I did recently rewatch almost all of the films on this list, as well. I’m seeing Iron Man again this weekend and will update my thoughts here if they change.

As for Sin City, we stayed with “Super Heroes” instead of just comic movies. Personally I’m a big fan of Sin City and The Punisher, both of which weren’t eligible for this.

Cole – Tank Girl had talking Kangaroos. Nuff said.
