War Machine Fan Art

If there is one thing we love, it is speculation. But combine that with our love for movie fans and you’ve got a dangerous combination, leading to a sense of Reject euphoria that cannot be beaten. It is almost as good as seeing Megan Fox in nothing but pasties. But when we can’t have that, we will settle for some Iron Man fan art.

The image above was sent to us by FSR reader Diego. It is an obvious, yet still pretty slick photoshop job of what War Machine could possibly look like in Iron Man 2. Those who have seen the first Iron Man, which is quite a few people at this point, will remember that director Jon Favreau inserted a little homage to War Machine, a scene in which Jim Rhodes (Terrence Howard) looks at the Mark II suit that is hanging in Tony Stark’s workshop and says, “Next time.” For fans, he is hopefully referring to the next film, where he could very well take on the role of War Machine, a character that starts by helping Iron Man and ultimately ends up having a superhero career of his own.

When we spoke with Terrence Howard last year at Comic Con, he did mention that plans were in place for him to suit up at some point and that he was extremely excited to get into the role of War Machine. Unfortunately we didn’t see this in the first movie, but we are extremely hopeful for the sequel, which is due out April 30, 2010.

Sound Off: Do you think that we will see War Machine in the Iron Man sequel?
