Iron Man 2 Trailer Preview Shows War Machine, Ignites Interest
Movie News By Neil Miller on December 16, 2009 | (4) Comments
Some days it doesn’t take much. In fact, when the news is slow here in the movie blogosphere, a trailer-for-a-trailer is all that you need to make a big splash, especially when it’s for a movie like Iron Man 2.
To date, there has been no official footage released for the film, with one extended clip from Comic-Con leaking onto the web in July. And now we are here, in December, with the official first trailer right around the corner. As we reported a week ago, the trailer will be attached to Sherlock Holmes when it releases on Christmas Day. But before that, Entertainment Tonight will be giving its viewers a look at some never-before-seen footage. That is happening tonight (check local listings). We know that because ET has released this new promotional video, showing off several moments of footage with their patented, obnoxious voice-over. If you can stand the voice-over, the clip is worth watching. Why? Because it includes a 2-second action shot of War Machine, that’s why…
After the footage debuts on ET, we expect that it will probably be released late tonight or tomorrow online, most likely on Apple.com’s trailer site. No matter when it happens, you can be sure that we will be on the spot with both the trailer and the analysis you can’t live without. For all intents and purposes, this is the biggest trailer release of the season, for one of the most anticipated movies of 2010. We see no reason to miss that.
