Earlier today, Paramount Pictures released their final press kit for Iron Man 2, and with it come a few brand new pictures. There are also some old pictures. All of them are in very high resolution, which I’m sure will interest some of our readers — as high resolution photos of everyone’s favorite badass tin can make for sweet desktop wallpapers. Amirite?

Below you will find the film’s official synopsis along with 40 high resolution images. There’s plenty of Iron Man action shots, looks at all of the characters — including Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and the Tony Stark rival Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell). Not to mention the very cool Nick Fury, as played by Samuel L. Jackson. Enjoy.

Synopsis:

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film based on the legendary Marvel Super Hero “Iron Man,” reuniting director Jon Favreau and Oscar® nominee Robert Downey Jr. In “Iron Man 2,” the world is aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the armored Super Hero Iron Man. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military, Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armor because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, Tony forges new alliances and confronts powerful new forces.
