ironman2-warmachine-poster-header

Sure, Avatar is the big movie of the month. The talk of the town, the bee’s knees. And Fox is licking their chops for a gigantic opening. But that won’t stop Paramount from stealing a bit of thunder by releasing promo material’s for next year’s summer opener, Iron Man 2. Director Jon Favreau is finishing things up on the Robert Downey Jr. led sequel, and some glossy images (and yesterday’s badass War Machine poster) are finally being released. We can only assume that a trailer isn’t too far off in the distance.

Until then, we have new looks at Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in the work shop, Scarlett Johansson doing what can only be described as a stretching routine as Black Widow, and a few shots of Tony Stark (Downey Jr.) doing some household chores. Riveting, I know.

Iron Man 2 is in theaters May 7, 2010. All images courtesy of Paramount Pictures. Click to enlarge.

They're making an Iron Man 2?!?

The computer system in the films is supposed to be a character. That's why they got Paul Bettany to do the voice instead of some no-name generic voice. Jarvis (or J.A.R.V.I.S.) is a central character in the world of Ironman in the comics. I think that they did a great job of giving the character a modern twist while not straying too far off from the original idea. Scarlet johannsen looks great as the Black Widow and I can't wait to see the final look of Rourke's Whiplash!
  • 10 bucks that by the 3rd movie the robot crane will be a love interest.
  • you know, i love the chemistry Robert Downey Jr has with that thing. even though the interactions we see are brief, he really gives it character. i'm serious

Scarlett Johansson doesnt look like a super russian spy but if she pulls of crazy poses in leather for whole movie then the verdict is guilty -of being sexy.
