Yahoo Movies has posted the official high resolution, chatter free version of the Inglourious Basterds teaser that debuted on Entertainment Tonight last night. This time we are free of the commentary from the show’s annoying hosts, upping our enjoyment significantly. For those not following along, Basterds follows the story of a group of Jewish American soldiers in World War II who terrorize Nazi’s in occupied France through a series of heinous killings. They are led by Lt. Aldo Raine, played by Brad Pitt. And from the looks of the trailer, Pitt once again delivers a performance that is full of fun.

Have a look at the trailer for yourself below and check it out in HD over on Yahoo. Inglourious Basterds is scheduled to hit theaters August 21, 2009.

  • Great Eli Roth is in it. The first of what will be undoubtedly a dozen cameos from people who can't act.
  • really? he seemed to fit the tone perfectly in the trailer with the swing and the smirk

Well...watching this was certainly better than the ET clip. You get a MUCH greater sense of things to come...QT style, of course...

this actually looked like a trailer as compared to how it looked on et

Maybe I need to watch it a second time, but my expectations for this flick just plummeted.
  • Hmm ... I don't feel like I gained anything from this trailer. Doesn't mean the film will be bad, I just felt like it was a lot of fluff.

I dont know about anyone else but I really wanna see this movie. If anything for the over the top acting and gruesome violence.

I know I will see it irregardless, what can I say I'm a sucker for QT films (I've even got a 18" figure of the Bride on my desk at work). As far as a teaser trailer it was not to bad. I just hope it is a non-stop action flick, which the trailer appears to be (but then again it is only a teaser). The only thing I kinda got stuck in my throat is Brad Pitt, it just seems a little hammy, but I've enjoyed him in other parts and willing to give him chance. This isn't top of my list on films I waiting to see, but I'll probably be at the theatre on the opening night.
  • NEIN NEIN NEIN NIEN!

It looks like an ultra violent episode of 'Allo 'Allo!
