Grindhouse may've flopped at the box office, but it was still loads of fun that too many never *actually* got to experience the way it was meant to be seen. If you didn't go during Grindhouse's theater run when the films were playing back to back with all the trailers in place, then you have *not* seen Grindhouse and can *not* judge it. It was a wonderful homage to B cinema and it's too bad too many losers didn't see it for what it was. Another thing Inglorious Basterds (excellent movie, btw) has going for it to top Grindhouse: it wasn't release on Easter weekend. Whoever made that marketing decision probably created at leas 80% of Grindhouse's bad reputation

I'm not really a Woody Allen fan but he has made a buch of great films. I sort of equate Tarantino with Allen. I think they both possess genius, but sometimes they come out with large wet shiny turds. I think that because both possess large fanboy bases that think that everything from them is golden, the general public expects the same. When they expel a turd the public comment is “see, they're not that good”.

Basterds was an epic movie. loved it. and that means a lot coming from me haha
