Here is it Indiana Jones fans, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. That is, if you weren’t diligent like myself and woke up early this morning to watch it on “Good Morning America”. This time, we promise not to make you sit through our cheezy commentary about the franchise as we run the trailer, we will just run the trailer that is, at this point, sweeping the web.

Alright, now the commentary. This trailer looks pretty bad ass. As you can see, Spielberg has chosen to be very respectful to his first three films — it is lighthearted, fun and entertaining. No one can make Dr. Jones look as good as the ageless Harrison Ford and everyone else in the cast, at least based upon this quick snapshot, looks great as well.

And as my good friend Pete at /Film pointed out last night, you may notice a crate near the end of the trailer that has “Roswell, New Mexico” stamped on it — so there is your Area 51/Alien storyline spoiler right there, in the damn trailer.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hits theaters on May 22, 2008.
