

Film fans, please take a moment from your usual routine of not watching sports — and more importantly, complaining about those of us who do — to watch the following video. SlateV (via our friend Katey Rich at Cinema Blend) has created this little video showing us what the Superbowl might be like if it were made by auteurs such as Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson and Jean-Luc Godard. Also, Werner Herzog.
As both a fan of football and a fair-weather fan of film, I find this little spoof to be quite funny. Where else can you see the Superbowl as seen through the eyes of Werner Herzog’s Grizzly Man narration? And why does it all make so much sense? Of course, like Katey, I too would like to see James Cameron’s CGI epic Superbowl video. Though I don’t think I’m willing to wait 14-years for him to get it right. For now, we have this:
Who do you think will win the Superbowl this year? My money is on the Saints.. (The New Orleans Saints are playing against the Indianapolis Colts, for those not following along.)
