Everyone seems to be all over the production of Iron Man. Only days ago we got the first look at the Mark III Suit to be worn by Iron Man thanks to EW.

Today they released some very cool images from the set and one seemingly alright video shot from far away from the shooting of an action sequence. The images came exclusively from IESB. Check out one example below:

This is similar to the set prowlers covering The Dark Knight to an unnecessary extent, only this time we are getting some extremely good shots of Iron Man and some of the Jon Favreau created action sequences. You can see more pictures here, the video clip here and even a set report that talks about the big final action sequence. To me, this is one of those flicks that is exciting based on the director and the cast. I am by no means a big Iron Man fanboy, but I think that Favreau is ready for a big blockbuster success and that Robert Downey Jr. is a fantastic actor, despite his personal “habits.” The Mark III Suit also looks pretty damn slick! This just adds to the pre-excitement for both Comic-Con later in the year (Note: Please bring some footage, Mr. Favreau) and for the Summer of 2008!

Iron Man is set for release on May 2, 2008.
