Barack Obama Endorses The Fresh Prince

Eleven months from now, we’ll be Hailing a new Chief as either Barack Obama or Ralph Nader is sworn into the Presidency. If you’re Will Smith (and if you are, I’m psyched that you’re reading my column), you’ve got your fingers crossed because the right-honorable Senator from the state of Illinois will endorse The Fresh Prince if a biopic ever gets made.
The story is out on the AP Wire that Obama thinks Smith “has the ears” to handle the role. It probably doesn’t hurt that Smith has been nominated for two Oscars.
Apparently the two have discussed the matter, although how seriously is left up to debate. It seems a little egotistical to be thinking about a biopic of yourself before you even become President, but if anyone deserves the hype that would surround the Barack-umentary, it’s Obama.
In the interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Democratic contender also mentioned that he loves the first two Godfather flicks and Lawrence of Arabia. I can only assume that 1) because we share this trait, I will someday be President and 2) that he also hates Sophia Coppola for ruining the third movie.
