hurt-locker-trailer-header

So far, The Hurt Locker is the best movie I’ve seen this year. It’s still early in the year, obviously, but the film really does deserve a strong amount of praise for what it’s achieved – a beautiful action film featuring hauntingly sympathetic characters, the type of men that you would simply aspire to shake hands with.

You should check out my review for the film, but in the meantime, a new trailer is out for your viewing pleasure:

While the trailer gives a more rounded view of the tone of the film – most of the film is spent under the harsh threat of constant violence – it does a fantastic job of showing what the film is all about.

Luckily, the flick is getting a limited release on June 26th which will hopefully carry over into a wider showing. If it doesn’t come to a theater near you and you have a friend stationed overseas – you might just be able to get yourself an Iraqi bootleg copy, although this is the kind of movie you need to see on a giant screen with speakers threatening to destroy your ear drums.

What do you think of the first trailer for The Hurt Locker?
