Fans Brace in Terrified Anticipation of a Nude Photo of Raven
It was bound to happen. One of the squeaky clean stars of the wildly popular films “High School Musical†and “High School Musical 2†can now be seen in the buff.
At first, it was rumored by the National Enquirer that a nudie shot existed of Vanessa Anne Hudgens. Then sites like PerezHilton got their paws on it and put it online. Then her representatives confirmed its authenticity, claiming it was for a private message to boyfriend Zac Efron.
I have done an extensive, hours-long examination of the photo, strictly for journalistic purposes. It appears to be authentic because only an 18-year-old in Hollywood with such a wholesome image wouldn’t get a bikini wax.
Having seen Hudgens fawn over her co-star Zac Efron at a press junket, I can understand her desire to send him a nudie snapshot. But don’t these starlets learn that if you’re young and hot, you just can’t keep these digital pictures a “private matter†(as her publicist has stated).
It’s a lot easier for ugly celebrities. There may be dozens of nude photos and sex tapes of Rosie O’Donnell, Garry Shandling and Sandra Bernhard floating around, but no one is burning up the internet lines to search these out.
But the innocent heroine of “High School Musicalâ€? Who isn’t going to look… at least once?
Rumors abound that Hudgens will be dropped from upcoming sequels, and I wouldn’t be surprised if her singing career, bolstered by the Disney marketing machine, is also in jeopardy. Other barely-legal hotties like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff have been dropped by the Mouse House after their wholesome image was tarnished.
Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that Raven Symone doesn’t follow suit.
